On hanging his boots after two decades of service in the army, Col. Vir Singh, a bachelor, proposed to spend the rest of his retired life at his native village near Manali in Himachal Pradesh. Although he enjoyed the first four weeks to his heart’s content, the second month onwards, he became ill at ease in idling away futile days.
So he proposed to venture into the hospitality business and set up a sort of budget hotel in his palatial ancestral house. For alterations, renovation and interior décor, he consulted his childhood friend Mr. Mistry, practising as an architect and structural engineer in Shimla. Vir Singh was confident of success of his enterprise since tourist spots like the Tibetan Monasteries, Manu Temple and Beas Kund are within easy reach from his abode.
For the cooking range in kitchen, the oven in pantry, geysers in bathrooms, room-heaters in the lounge and dining space as well as the washing machine for laundry, Mistry insisted on standard electrical gadgets with branded quality components like Theeta. It is in the interest of safety and energy efficiency, he contended.
Theeta is the most prominent among heating element suppliers in India, having three manufacturing units in Haryana, Delhi and Himachal Pradesh and its nodal office at Gurgaon. The company designs and manufactures numerous tubular heating elements for domestic and commercial and industrial applications.
As for the immersion heaters manufacturers India can boast of OEMs like Theeta that has numerous firsts in the industry to its credit. Its products are made from high grades of tubing like Incoloy 800, 825, stainless steel 304, 321, 316, 316L, MS etc. in diameters ranging from 6.5 to 8 mm with the state-of-the-art techniques.
The elements are made from nickel chromium wire treated with different grades of magnesium oxide powder as per the ultimate applications. Appropriate ferrules, flanges and plates are also provided.
